Modness → Red out

So.... Earlier on Twitter I promised 2 updates today, so ill kick it off with this DIY.

After seeing other people tint their tail lights black (which i find dangerous by the way), i wanted to tint my cargo lights red so that the 3rd brake light and the cargo lights looked all one color.

Here's the ultra cheap and not so permanent method i came up with.

You might want to take off the light from the cab so it's easier to work with.

First, take a a piece of paper and trace around the cargo light area making a template.
Then take ordinary gift wrapping cellophane(?) material and use the template to create a cargo light-sized cut-out of the red film material.

Then apply some stickyness (i just used glue) to stick them on and BAM. One color 3rd brakelight bar.

Downside? These faded to a thin pink in about 2 weeks. =( So unless its for a short period of time, i would avoid this method and go with some real purpose-made material (which I have plans to get).

Upside? If you ever wanted to know what your lights would look like totally red'd out (and you have about 10 min.) it works great till it fades.

Keep it tuned!
